David's Loft Clinical Programs is Hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner Near Baltimore, MD

Position:Nurse Practitioner

Classification: Direct Support

Scope:

At David’s Loft Clinical Programs, we owe our success to people and processes. A Nurse Practitioner is a supportive force behind both, and we are currently seeking someone exceptional to take the helm. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, discussing patient symptoms and concerns and performing thorough examinations to diagnose their medical problem and prescribe medication or create a treatment plan as necessary. When required, you will collaborate with our treatment team to ensure our patients are getting the best standard of care. The candidate should also have experience working in an office environment, performing administrative tasks, and providing support to coworkers. An ability to multitask, manage complex schedules, and meet changing deadlines is essential to the position.

Status: Exempt

Responsibilities: 

  1. Facilitate new patient consultation and health history review
  2. Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
  3. Order and administer tests including bloodwork
  4. Review and interpret test results to diagnose health problems
  5. Recommend further treatment options or future appointments if needed
  6. Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
  7. Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families
  8. Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.
  9. Lead care with compassion, understanding, empathy, and integrity at all times
  10. Other duties as assigned needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
  2. 5 years of nursing experience
  3. RN licensure in the State of Maryland and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP
  4. APN authorization in the State of Maryland to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
  5. Prescriptive authorization in the State of Maryland
  6. Experience providing primary care as a nurse practitioner
  7. Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
  8. Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
  9. A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  11. Knowledge of disease prevention and intervention
  12. FNP license required

Reports To: 

Director of Clinical or CEO

Physical Capacity:

Must be able to sit and stand for 20 minutes and lift at least 10 lbs.
